Michael Board is a Managing Director for National Capital Companies. His team has deep experience across a broad cross section of industries.  His personal expertise has been focused in Healthcare, Agtech, Information Technology and Capital Formation for Private Equity. Michael’s Healthcare background has covered Med Tech, (devices and diagnostics), along with advising Physician Practices.   Information Technology includes IT services, AI and Cyber Security.  Over the last few years, Ag Tech has seen significant capital infused into new technologies. Michael has served as Advisor to companies in both the Agtech and Medtech sectors.   

Prior to investment banking, Michael's career comprised both Strategic Management Consulting and wealth management as an Ultra High Net Worth Private Wealth Advisor. He was a UHNW Private Wealth Advisor at both Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse, where he advised on equity, fixed income, structured derivatives, venture capital and private equity investments within a $5B family office. He also advised early stage medical and tech companies, 3 of which were ultimately acquired.  Additionally, he was instrumental in the development and first institutional raise of a multi-billion dollar private equity real estate fund. Over the last 9 years, and several exits, the fund has developed and exited over $11B in triple net properties across the U.S. 

Michael holds a B.S. in Business Management from North Central College in Naperville, IL, a M.S. in Applied Economics and Finance from Southern Illinois University and has completed graduate work at the Thunderbird School of Management in International Credit and Trade Finance. He is a Registered Representative of NC Securities, LLC and holds Series 7, 66, and 79 securities licenses.
